It is a great choice in Oak Park due to location
Positives Best choice in Oak park due to location. Rooms are good size and kitchens and bathrooms very pleasant. Great parking availability. Friendly staff, nice club house and gym. Convenient trash disposal. Feels very safe.
Cons higher rent than in other places. Would prefer if floors were wood rather than carpets. In gym TVs do not work, antibacterial wipes frequently missing. In club sometimes coffee missing and no cups for coffee ever available. The biggest turn off is that pets urinate and poop in elevators Despite the best effort of cleaning staff elevators smell unpleasantly especially during week-ends. Wish that get together parties were more frequent and better organized.

Great property
Staff and maintenance is very responsive. Noise levels are good and I live on a dog floor, yet I really don't hear them. Well maintained property and a good value given the neighborhood and its amenities.

Overall best apartment complex in Oak Park
It's one of the best places to live in Chicago, being so close to downtown Chicago but away from the hustle and bustle. Also being located in the heart of Oak Park is great as well, being so close to a host of amenities and stores. The inside as great as well, with the modern design and layout all being refreshing compared to other places in the area.The gym could definitely be bigger, maybe combine it with the yoga room next to it since it's barely used. The area on the roof deck could be used more effectively. Lots of grass but its not for pets Maybe build on top of the heating and cooling equipment and add a swimming pool room These are obviously dream scenarios, but if a swimming pool was built somewhere there'd be no competition within 10 miles. This place would have it all.

Excellent convenient place to live.
I would highly recommend OPP to anyone looking for a place in downtown Oak Park. The management is extremely helpful and caring.
The building is well cared for and when requests are put in for maintenance within my apartment it is taken care of very quickly.

Best place to live in Oak Park
Apts are very energy efficient. Common areas upgraded and very well maintained.

Quality of service has declined significantly since new management.
Things have recently declined in quality since the new management has taken over. The staff in the office are much less personable and we feel as if they are annoyed by the residents of the buiilding.
For example, packages have not been delivered ina timely fashion and the office does not let us know that there are packages waiting for us. In fact, we have not received a single email from the building management since the new company has taken over. The monthly get-togethers that were promised to us on signing our lease has not been taking place either.
Overall, I would not recommend staying at Oak Park Place Apartments to any of my friends at this time.
