This is a qualfied 5. The management is very good, and doesn’t really have any control over some things. Changing elevator companies has helped, but if they would have originally gone with a 3rd elevator for freight/moves, etc. that would have helped. Also, garage was poorly designed, one has to be very careful going up and down thru the different levels, there is always a lot of water areas on pavement after rain/snow, and plastic water piping was laid out impeding many of the parking spots after metal barriers were installed in front of these pipes to protect them. Also, the soundproofing in the units could have been better. Like I said these are things that were kind of “design flaws” in my opinion. Outside of that, I like my unit, and all management/staff have been great to me.

The rent prices are the only reason I wouldn’t. Otherwise it’s great.

Great location, ease of community engagement.

I recommended the Emerson to my sister. She moved into the Emerson last year.

Lease rates and “allocated” fees are at top of market and beyond the budget of most people.

Had several incidents and management completely miss handled them.

No privacy, neighbors waking me up because the walls are so thin. I pay way too much to be dealing with this. The elevators have been a nightmare. Either one or both elevators are always down. I have severe arthritis and a dog that has to go out 4-5 times a day. Nothing was done when we had to take the stairs when both elevators were down last year.

Management not responsive and lack of rule enforcement.

For a new building, it’s shocking that the walls are so thin. One shouldn’t feel like walking on eggshells in their own home.

I would reccomend based on the quality of apartments and atmosphere. However the lease costs are very high and renewal increases are very high.

Great location, beautiful views, and AMAZING MAINTENANCE STAFF!

The price!! Close to downtown Chicago, so that helps. Also, green line is a few steps away.

Not to be catty, but I’d only recommend if this building if they like hearing their neighbor eat breakfast in the morning. Literally can hear the clinking of flatware on bowls.

Safe, clean, new. A little expensive for the size but I understand that rent is expensive these days.
